  • Mallam Dantani Ruwa Ambrusa
    HOD Collection Development Division

    born in July 1959 in his home town Ambrusa, Birnin Kebbi L.G.A. Kebbi State. He obtained Diploma Library Science in 1982 from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, Diploma in Public Administration 1993 from Abdu Gusau Polytechnic, Talata Mafara, Zamfara State. He also holds Advanced Diploma in Management (1994), B. Sc. Management 1997, and a 2001 Masters in Business Administration all from Usmanu Danfodyio University Sokoto. His working career started in 1982 with Usmanu Danfodyio University Library as a Library Officer and joined the services of FUGUS Library in 2015 as the Coordinator of Library Services (first Ag. University Librarian of Federal University Gusau) until 2016. He has served in various capacities both at UDUS Library and FUGUS Library. Malam Ambrusa is a member of Nigerian Library Association, Sokoto State Chapter.

  • Charles Nwabueze Chukwuji
    HOD Readers’ Services Division

    A native of Ossomala in Ogbaru L.G.A. and was born on 13th February, 1972 at Ekwulobia, Aguata Local Government Area both in Anambra State, Nigeria. He holds National Diploma (ND) 1996 and Higher National Diploma 1999 both in Library and Information Science from the Federal Polytechnic Oko, Anambra State and B.A. (EDU) Eng. from the National Open University of Nigeria in 2020. Charles obtained his PGD LIS 2011and MLIS 2021 from the Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka.He started his professional career at the Madonna University Library Okija Anambra state as a Library Officer in 2009. He joined the services of Federal University Gusau (FUGUS) in 2014 as one of the pioneer staff of both the Library. Currently, he is a Principal Library Officer I and is a member of various committees both in the Library and University wide. Charles has served as HODs of Readers’ Services and Circulation Services. He is a member of Nigerian Library Association Zamfara State Chapter and has quite a few research outputs to his credit with research interests in Academic Library, Information, School Library, Scholarly Communication, Library and Education, Use of Library and User education among others.

  • Muktar Abubakar
    Ag. HOD Technical Services Division

    Born in his home town of Gurbi Bore of Zurmi L.G.A. of Zamfara State on October 1985. He obtained a Diploma in Library and Information Sciences in 2004 and B.A. Library and Information Science/Political Science in 2005, as well as a Postgraduate Diploma in Information Management, 2014 all from Bayero University Kano. He started his professional career in 2014 as a part time lecture/library officer at the Zamfara State College of Education Maru and joined the services of FUGUS Library in 2018 as Graduate Assistant. Muktar belong to some library and university wide committees. He is a Charted Librarian of Nigeria (CLN) and also a Member of Nigerian Library Association, Zamfara State Chapter.

  • Zainab Yusuf
    HOD Reference Section

    Zainab was born on 17th February, 1981 in Gusau, Gusau L.G.A. She obtained NCE in 2004 from Federal College of Education Technical Gusau, Bachelor of Library and Information Science, 2010 and Masters in Information Management 2013 both from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria. Zainab is currently undertaking another Masters in Records and Archives Management also from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria. She has worked in the banking sector as well as served as classroom teacher before joining the services of FUGUS Library in 2016 as Librarian II. She has some publications to her credit and belongs to some Library Committees as well as a member of Nigerian Library Association, Zamfara State Chapter.

  • Mohammed Alh’ Gambo
    HOD E-Library Services

    Mohammed Gambo was born on 22nd February, 1984 in his home town Wamakko in Wamakko L.G.A. of Sokoto State, Nigeria. He holds Diploma and a degree both in Library and Information Science from Niger State Polytechnic, 2005 and University of Nigeria Nsukka, 2015 respectively. Mohammed Gambo’s professional career started in 2007 at the Federal University of Technology Minna from where he joined the services of FUGUS in 2014 as a Higher Library Officer as one of the pioneer staff of the library. Since then, he has attended trainings/conferences/workshops both in Computer Science and Library and Information Science and also a member of Nigerian Computer Society (NSC) and Nigerian Library Association (NLA). He is currently a Principal Library Officer II and belongs to some university wide and library committees.

  • Sani Ango
    Ag.HOD Serials Section

    Sani is a native of Gusau in Gusau L.G.A. Zamfara State, where he was also born on September 16 1976, Nigeria. He obtained NCE Hausa/Islam in 2004 and a Bachelors Degree in Library Science in 2012 from ABU Zaria. Sani Ango joined Federal University Library Gusau in 2019 as a Graduate Librarian and a member of Nigerian Library Association, Zamfara State Chapter.

  • Ibrahim Garba S/Baki
    HOD Circulation Services

    Ibrahim is a native of Shinkafi in Shinkafi L.G.A. Zamfara State and was born on 19th July, 1972. Malam Ibrahim obtained Diploma in Library and Information Science from the Usmanu Danfodyio University Sokoto in 2008. He started his career as Library Attendant in 1998 at the University Library of Usmanu Danfodyio University Sokoto from where he joined FUGUS Library in 2016 as Higher Library officer and has risen to Senior Library Officer. Malam has attended some trainings/conferences and workshops and also member of some of the University Library Committees. He is a member of Nigerian Library Association Zamfara State.

  • Bello Abdullahi
    HOD Audio Visual Unit

    Bello Abdullahi was born on 19th August, 1975 in his home town Gusau, Zamfara State, Nigeria. Bello holds a Diploma in Hausa Translation, 2008 from FCET Gusau, National Diploma in Mass Communication, 2009 from Abdu Gusau Polytechnic Talata Mafara and HND Mass Communication, 2012 from Nuhu Bamali Polytechnic Zaria, Kaduna State. He also obtained PGD from the Institute of Journalism Abuja in 2015, B.Sc Mass Communication, 1999 and M.Sc Mass Communication both from the Maryam Abacha University Niger Republic. He started his professional career as a Journalist in 1996 in the Federal Ministry of Information as Assistant Information Officer and later joined the services of FUGUS as Principal Executive Officer in 2014.

  • Muhammed Shamsu Lawal
    Ag. HOD Reserve Unit

    Shamsu Lawal was born in his home town, Tudun Wada, Gusau of Zamfara State on 4th February 1986. He obtained his SSCE in 2007 and a Diploma in Library and Information Science in 2011 as well as a B.A. Library & Information Science/Political Science2017 both from Bayero University Kano. He joined the services of FUGUS Library in 2017 as a Library Officer and since then has served as Ag. Head of Arabic Section and Ag. Head of Technical Services Division. He is currently the Ag. Head of Reserve Unit. Shamsu Lawal is a member of Nigerian Library Association, Zamfara State.

  • Malam Ridwanu Yahaya Khamis
    Ag. HOD Arabic Section

    Mal. Ridwanu Yahay Khamis was born in Gusau Local Government Area in 1981. He had his primary education in Gusau, He completed Shiek Abubakar Gummi Memorial College in 2002, had a Diploma in (Hausa/Arabic/Islamic Studies) from Sokoto State Polytechnic in 2004, obtained a B.A Degree (Arabic) from Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto in 2008 and a Masters Degree M.A (Arabic) from the same University in 2022. He also had a Diploma in Computer with Arabic Installation and a National Diploma in English/ Education from Institute of Education, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria in 2022. He is currently the Head, Arabic and Islamic Studies Collection and specialized in Arabic Language and Literature.

  • Yunusa Ndatsu Idris
    Ag. Admin Officer

    Yunusa is a native of Pelemi in Lapai L.G.A. of Niger State. He was born on 24th December, 1986 in Bosso also in Niger State. Yunusa holds SSCE 2003, NCE (Economics/Social Studies) 2008 and B.Sc Political Science 2015. He joined the services of FUGUS in 2017 as an Administrative Assistant and is currently the Ag. Admin Officer of the University Library and member/secretary of some library committees.
